This kit consists of the precision router base for Dremel tools along with the routing jig for soundhole & rosette.

Kit includes:

The precision router base is a stable and versatile way to support your Dremel tool. This base is the best way to hold a Dremel for freehand routing, inlaying, widening fret slots, and more. Made of brass, aluminum and machined steel, it features precision cutting depth adjustment with large thumbwheels to eliminate guesswork.

  • Excellent control
  • Easy installation
  • Accurate freehand routing

Operation information for the precision router base: To install - simply unscrew the threaded collar on the nose of the Dremel and screw the Dremel directly into the Precision Router Base. Each turn of the large knurled thumbwheels adjusts your Dremel's cutting depth by .035"" (.889mm). You can route an inlay cavity that's precisely compensated for the thickness of the pearl and glue, for less sanding later.

Tall twin handles give you excellent control for freehand routing, and you get a good view of your work. There's even a built-in nozzle for attaching a mini air pump to continuously blow away the dust—you'll route inlay cavities more precisely, for a better fit requiring less filler.

3/4-12 thread fits:

  • Dremel 4000
  • Dremel 400XPR
  • Dremel Professional
  • Dremel MultiPro™
  • most corded Dremel modules produced after 1986
  • Black & Decker Wizard™
  • Black & Decker RTX™

The soundhole and rosette routing jig is adjustable from 2” diameter to 6” diameter. It includes two hex adjustable M4x0.70 countersunk screws for attaching a router base, one registration pin (4 mm diameter) and three hex keys: 2.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 1.5 mm. Use with precision router base support for Dremel tool (S-T235).

Attach the jig to the router base, then mount your Dremel or Foredom tool. Insert the registration pin through the center of the uncut soundhole, and into your work surface. Place the jig on the pin. Set the diameter of cut with the adjusting screw, and lock it down. The router base adjusts the cutting depth. Rout your rosette rings first, then cut out the soundhole.
