Transistor - NTE103, Germanium, TO-5 case, NPN
NTE103 NPN germanium transistors. The NTE103 is a popular NPN for fuzz pedals and other effects. This transistor is in a TO-5 package with long leads commonly found on germanium transistors. The NTE103 was used in the Texas Square Face made by Cesar Diaz, the famous amp tech who worked with Stevie Ray Vaughan and others. Early in his career, SRV had a broken Fuzz Face pedal and took it to Cesar Diaz to have him fix it. Diaz fixed and modified the pedal and this became the foundation of his famous version which he named the Texas Square Face. The Diaz pedals often came with socketed NTE103 and included a set of P-QNTE123 to experiment with the different sounds of the transistors.
Transistor - 2N6027 Programmable Unijunction
2N6027 programmable unijunction transistor often referred to as a PUT. The 2n6027 can be found in many tremolo effects pedal projects.
Op-Amp - LF356, Single, High Slew Rate, 8-Pin DIP
LF356 single op amp in an 8-pin DIP package. The LFx5x devices are the first monolithic JFET input operational amplifiers to incorporate well-matched, high-voltage JFETs on the same chip with standard bipolar transistors (BI-FET™ Technology). These amplifiers feature low input bias and offset currents/low offset voltage and offset voltage drift, coupled with offset adjust, which does not degrade drift or common-mode rejection.
Wire - Weico, 24AWG Stranded, Top Coat Pre-Tinned, 300V, 50 feetHigh quality 24AWG wire from Weico featuring a topcoat of solder over the strands. This wire is pre-tinned in the sense that a coating of solder is already applied, bonding the individual strands together so no additional tinning is required. This wire is ready to go as soon as it is cut and stripped making assembly that much easier. Rated at 300V and offered in a variety of colors, this wire is a great option for a variety of different projects.
CMOS - CD4029, Presettable Up/Down Counter, 16-Pin DIP
CD4029B consists of a four-stage binary or BCD-decade up/down counter with provisions for look-ahead carry in both counting modes. The inputs consist of a single CLOCK, CARRY-IN\ (CLOCK ENABLE\), BINARY/DECADE, UP/DOWN, PRESET ENABLE, and four individual JAN signals, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 and a CARRY OUT\ signal are provided as outputs. A high PRESET ENABLE signal allows information on the JAM INPUTS to preset the counter to any state asynchronously with the clock. A low on each JAM line, when the PRESET-ENABLE signal is high, resets the counter to its zero count. The counter is advanced one count at the positive transition of the clock when the CARRY-IN\ and PRESET ENABLE signals are low. Advancement is inhibited when the CARRY-IN\ or PRESET ENABLE signals are high. The CARRY-OUT\ signal is normally high and goes low when the counter reaches its maximum count in the UP mode or the minimum count in the DOWN mode provided the CARRY-IN\ signal is low.
Transistor - AS3046D, Array of 5, Matched Pair, SOIC-14, NPN
The AS3046 is Alfa’s version of the CA3046 IC in an SOIC package. The AS3046D consists of five general purpose silicon NPN transistors on a common monolithic substrate. Two of the transistors are internally connected to form a differentially-connected pair. The transistors are well suited to a wide variety of applications in low power systems. They may be used as discrete transistors in conventional circuits however, in addition, they provide the very significant inherent integrated circuit advantages of close electrical and thermal matching. The AS3046D is available in a 14-pin SOIC package. Features

Knob - Rogan, PT Series, 3PS, Large, Skirted, Pointer, D-Shaft
High-quality USA made knobs from Rogan Corp. These large, skirted pointer knobs from Rogan’s PT Series feature a soft rubber grip molded over a solid polymer knob. PT Series knobs can be found on synthesizer modules from Make Noise, Mutable Instruments and others. Fits 6mm D-shafts.

Audio Power Amplifier - LM386N-1 / 4, Low Voltage
LM386 Low Voltage Audio Power Amplifier The LM386 is a mono low voltage amplifier that can be used in a variety of applications. It can drive loads from 4 Ω to 32 Ω. The gain is internally set to 20 but it can be modified from 20 to 200 by placing a resistor and capacitor between pins 1 and 8. As this is an Op Amp it can be used in different configurations to fit in several applications. The internal gain setting resistor allows the LM386 to be used in a very low part count system. In addition a series resistor can be placed between pins 1 and 5 to modify the gain and frequency response for specific applications. These are found in many small audio amplifiers and even tiny pedal sized guitar amplifiers! There are tons of possibilities for this little Op Amp.
Potentiometer - Alpha, Linear, Knurled Shaft, Right Angle, 16mm
Linear taper 16mm potentiometers with a T18 knurled shaft. These pots have right angle PCB mount terminals. The smaller size is useful for builds with limited panel space such as guitar pedals, synthesizer modules, and adding modifications to equipment. Washer and nut included.

StripBoard - Single Sided, 3.04” x 1.55”, Vintage Spacing, Phenolic Board
Stripboard made with a phenolic substrate. Phenolic boards are found in many vintage electronics before the use of fiberglass became common. This stripboard features a 0.15” vintage spacing. This spacing is great for vintage-style builds and more easily accommodates axial capacitors and other larger sized vintage parts like resistors and transistors. The board has a 20x10 grid (10 strips) and easily fits into 1590BB style enclosures and larger vintage-style fuzz enclosures. Potentiometer - Alpha, Linear, 9mm, Vertical, Center Notch
Linear taper, vertical mount, Alpha pots with a 6.35mm shaft diameter and a center notch (detent). The center notch is useful for builds where the center position of the pot is commonly used such as panners or EQ controls. These 9mm pots are popular in DIY guitar pedals, synthesizers, and other projects. Mounting nut and washer included.
Op-Amp - NJM4580L, Dual, Audio, 8-Pin SIP
NJM4580L dual op amp from JRC in a SIP8 package. The NJM4580L is the same as the DIP NJM4580 (JRC4580) otherwise. The SIP version is a great replacement for dual op amps in vintage circuits as well as a space saving package for some PCB layouts. The NJM4580 is a dual operational amplifier, specially designed for improving the tone control, which is most suitable for the audio application. Featuring noiseless, higher gain bandwidth, high output current and low distortion ratio, and it is most suitable not only for acoustic electronic parts of audio pre-amp and active filter, but also for the industrial measurement tools.

Transistor - BD139, Medium Power, TO-126 case, NPN
The BD139 is a NPN medium power BJT transistor in a TO-126 package. The BD139's typical applications include audio amplifiers and drivers but is also popularly used in silicon fuzz pedals. Op-Amp - TL071, Single, Low-Noise, JFET-input, 8-Pin DIP
TL071 single op amp in an 8-pin DIP package. The TL07xx JFET-input operational amplifier family is designed to offer a wider selection than any previously developed operational amplifier family. Each of these JFET-input operational amplifiers incorporates well-matched, high-voltage JFET and bipolar transistors in a monolithic integrated circuit. LM3900 quad op amp in a 14-pin DIP package. These devices consist of four independent, high-gain frequency-compensated Norton operational amplifiers that were designed specifically to operate from a single supply over a wide range of voltages.
